One of the keys to long term successful programs and youth development is the training and support of mentors who have been carefully selected and educated.  We continually seek to refine and improve our mentor training, as well as provide a mentor support network.  The majority of our mentors are young adults who are either still in college or are recent graduates.  Their finances are generally limited, and they volunteer their time and effort.  These mentors are vital to our program.  Your support will help us to provide them with training and development free of charge.  With your support these mentors will receive the high quality, effective training they need to excel in their service with the youth.

Our focus at IYDE is to provide programs that strengthen character through the building of self esteem, responsibility and God consciousness.  Your support would allow us to provide high quality programs at a reasonable cost to the youth and their families.  In addition these programs will be developed, monitored, and evaluated to ensure the highest quality of program with the best possible impact for the youth we serve.

We will provide and maintain comprehensive training programs for communities, including: mentor development, youth volunteer development, youth advisor training, and board/executive training.  All these programs operate as a comprehensive package for developing and maintaining a solid and sustainable youth program.  In addition to the training, continuing support (continuing access to advisors, on line and printed resources, and many other network services) will be provided to the youth groups.
